I Kissed A Girl's mix of titillation, polished melody and an enthralling chorus made the song become a top 10 hit across multiple countries. This led to the album of the same name of the Boys (2007) which was a huge success. Hot N Cold, Perry's energetic and sharply-tongued record with the song that was its second biggest hit became a huge hit. The album which Perry composed by herself sold more than three million copies.
